2015 Operation Round Up Golf Tournament September 14th

All proceeds from the tournament will go to the Operation Round Up Program and the NEC WIRE (Women Involved in Rural Electrification) Chapter’s Community Care Fund. The Operation Round Up Program is where members can allow the co-op to round their bills up to the next even dollar amount. The cents collected goes to help those within the community with their power bill and other necessities. The NEC WIRE Chapter’s mission is to improve the quality of life of individuals, families and organizations in the community by providing financial or specific assistance to those with critical needs. Over the years, the Newberry Electric Cooperative WIRE Chapter has made it a priority to reach out to the community and make a difference in the lives of others. The chapter has made donations to The Boys Farm, The Freedom and Hope Foundation, The Newberry Free Clinic, Hospice, MADD, Sistercare, The Manna House, JF Hawkins Nursing Center, White Oak Manor, Springfield Place, Council on Aging , The Co-op Closet, Kairos Prison Ministry and donated over 50 bears to Newberry County EMS for kids in emergency situations.
