EC’s got the power….Pink Power, that is.

NEC linemen are wearing pink hard hats during the month of October. Why, you might ask. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and NEC employees want to do whatever they can to raise awareness. Check out the video’s on the NEC web page at to hear how our employees are making a difference in the lives of others!! Did you know that breast cancer is the second most common kind of cancer in women? About 1 in every 8 women born today in the United States will get breast cancer at some point in their lifetime. The good news is that many women can survive breast cancer if it’s found and treated early. A mammogram – the screening test for breast cancer – can help find breast cancer early when it’s easier to treat. National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a chance for NEC to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. Let’s make a difference! Help us spread the word about mammograms and encourage communities, organizations, families, and others to get involved.

Together, we’ve got the power!!
