SPECIAL BOARD MEETING
February 13, 2023
A Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees of Newberry Electric Cooperative, Inc. was held at the Newberry Electric Cooperative, Inc. located in Newberry County, State of South Carolina on Monday, February 13, 2023.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chairman Johnnie Dickert, and all members were present. The members are C.J. Bishop, Blake Brigman, Johnnie Dickert, Leon Fulmer, Melanie Hawkins, Douglas Hipp, Craig Kesler, William Lominick, and John Nichols. President and CEO G. Keith Avery and Executive Secretary Deirdre Murphy were also present. Trustee Brigman attended by WebEx.
President Avery asked for an Executive Session. Trustee Hipp made a motion for Executive Session. The motion was seconded and passed without opposition.
After a very lengthy discussion, President Avery asked to come out of Executive Session. Trustee Hipp made a motion to come out of Executive Session. The motion was seconded and passed without opposition. No voting or actions were taken during the Executive Session.
Trustee Nichols made a motion to invite Senator Ronnie Cromer to attend a Board Meeting. The motion was seconded and passed without opposition.
There being no further business and without objections, Chairman Johnnie L. Dickert adjourned the February Special Board Meeting at 8:00 p.m.
